OCTOBER 2002
(1 John 3:16-18,NKJV): By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we
also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But
whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need,
and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love
of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love
in word or in tongue, but in deed and in
truth. This is the scripture that compels
us. |
Greetings, Last month
we visited many new children. Most will be added to our
scholarship program, some to our feeding program and some will
receive medical help. Below and to the right is Dinh Van Khoi
and his family. Khoi is 4 years old. When he was born, his
stomach was outside his body. |
|
 |
Please
pray for Khoi and his family. |
|
His intestines empty into a bag he
wears around his waist. He has a large tumor on his back and a
club left foot. Here LOVE presents
him rice and money for medical help. He will begin a series of
operations over the next few years. |

Thai Thi Hong Minh, left, lives with
her grandmother and older sister. She is 11 years old. LOVE is
providing a scholarship to send her to school. Nga, right,
is 3 years old. LOVE is providing foster care for her to live
until she is adopted. Both girls may have HIV. We are waiting
for test results. PRAY for Minh and Nga. |

Orange during the Vietnamese War. The
family to the right has 7 children. Five were born handicapped
and two of these have died. Only 2 children are normal. The 3
handicapped are on the bed. Two are very severe. The oldest is
19. |

We are also helping the child to the
left. She has a broken leg and is very severely handicapped.
LOVE's budget for 2002-2003 is $21,000. This is an
$8,000 increase over last year. It is a real step in faith for
us. PLEASE PRAY EARNESTLY FOR OUR COMMITMENT HERE. You can
also help by sharing this Newsletter and our burden for the
children of Vietnam with others. We have worked to help
Vietnamese in the U.S. for 20 years. We have worked part-time
in Vietnam in 1998 and 1999. In year 2000 God led us to work
full-time. We have recently received recognition by the IRS in
America as a non-profit organization and all contributions to
LOVE are tax-deductible. Please help the children of Vietnam
