JULY 2003
(1 John 3:16-18,NKJV): By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we
also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But
whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need,
and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love
of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love
in word or in tongue, but in deed and in
truth. This is the scripture that compels
us. | Grace to
you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,
I am so blessed. My daughter
Tina, grandson Drew, Pam and her son Jordan, Tony, and Jack from
their church in Grifton, North Carolina have blessed us so much.
They have touched so many of our children. We are very grateful to
them for coming, and to all the churches and individuals that helped
to support their trip.

| The Grifton team
arrived in Saigon Saturday morning, 6/7. We loaded into a van and
traveled to Danang. This is the cheapest and best way to see the
breathtaking countryside of Vietnam, the land where the mountains
kiss the sea. We traveled 8 hr. and stayed the night in Nha Trang.
After leaving early the next morning, we arrived in Danang Sunday
evening (a 12 hr. drive). The first week was spent visiting the
children at the garbage dump, Families 1-5, the vocational school,
the Ruth House, Tomorrow Club, and individual homes.

playing with children in Family 2 | On
Sunday, the Team ministered to children in 2 churches. In their free
time, we worked in trips to Hoi An, Marble Mtn., and the Water Park.
They found time to shop, buying more toys for the children and
souvenirs for family and friends back home. We celebrated Tony's
15th birthday, and they spent several days of quality time with some
of the street children in Families 2 & 4, as well as more time
with the other children. They didn't want to leave VN!

Thank you Grifton's Jesus Team for loving on our children
for 2 weeks. You have made a difference and I believe our children
have made a difference in your lives. Never stop praying for them
and come again soon. Thanks to all of you who
supported their trip. Thanks to all of you who pray for us and
our children. Thanks to all of you who help support our
children.
Blessings,
