(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV)  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Above is Son, her 2 children, Chi, and Hannah . Son lives in Nha Trang . Her house is made of bamboo tin and plastic. The floor is part cement and part dirt. We visit every summer and give Son’s daughter, Tuyen, a scholarship so she can go to school. Tuyen is in the 5^th grade 

this year and is a straight A+ student. This year LOVE also gave her a bicycle. They are Christians and attend Nui San Church .

New bicycles for some of our children who live a long ways from their school. LOVE gave out 3 bicycles in August alone. That is a total of 11 this year.

Thuy, a Christian, nurse and mid-wife, began working for LOVE this summer. Above she gives out uniforms to

students in Ngu Hanh Son District of Danang.

We are also in the process of seeing that all of our families, who do not have a bicycle, have one. In addition we have found out that many of our Christian families do not have

Bibles or song books. We hope that by the end of this year  every family will have at least one Bible and one hymnal. We need your help to do this. A bicycle costs $30, a hymnal costs $1.80 and a Bible costs $2.

Above is Pastor Cuong(center), his wife Hay, 2 sons, daughter-in-law, 2

grand children, Chi, Hannah, and myself. Pastor Cuong ’s Church is

located in Dien Khanh outside Nha Trang on Highway 1 south.

Pastor Cuong and his Vietnamese church are bringing hundreds of ethnic

minority people to Christ . Their church can only seat about 100 and

there are over 200 tribal people and over 300 Vietnamese that cram into 2 services. Please pray for them for funds to build a new church.

We have provided 215 uniforms and text books to 188 children through August.

LOVE really needs your help. We still have no sponsors for our university homes. We operate 3 in Danang and will open a 4^th soon. These are Christian Students from poor

families who live outside Danang. Some are minority tribal people. Most of these wish to serve God full time. When they are not studying their school subjects they are studying

the Bible and ministry. They are to be teachers, nurses, engineers, business people and more.

It cost as little as $50 a month to sponsor a home. We will send you a picture and profile of each student in the home. Most of the students have email addresses and are eager to email you. These students will be future leaders in the church and community. Some will become evangelist and pastors or preachers.

God's Promise: (Ezek 18:12-13 NKJV)  If he has oppressed the poor and needy, Robbed by violence, Not restored the pledge, Lifted his eyes to the idols, Or committed abomination; {13} If he has exacted usury Or taken increase; Shall he then live? He shall not live! If he has done any of these abominations, He shall surely die; His blood shall be upon him.

Meditate on this: (Ezek 16:49 NKJV)  "Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom : She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither 

did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
