Love Of Vietnam Expressed,

by
helping the poor and needy

www.loveofvietnamexpressed.org

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV)  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Official Newsletter of  LOVE

December 2006

All of us at LOVE wish to thank you on behalf of our staff and the children and families we represent.
Thank you for your prayers and gifts, and from us to you:

I am reminded that Christmas is not just about the birth of the Christ Child, but it is about God, who loves us so

much that He humbled himself by taking the form of a child so that He may walk among us and to take our sins to

the cross, an even greater example of humility and love.  I am reminded by the Holy Spirit that our world today is so

much like Sodom and I pray that we Christians can  turn from following the ways of the world and lay down our lives

 for Jesus Christ.

Three excesses and one neglect!

(Ezek 16:49 NKJV)  "Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride,
fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
1. pride     2. fullness of food      3. abundance of idleness      4. not helping the poor and needy

Above left is Nguyen Thi Hien Chau. She is a 4th year English student and works part time for us. Here she is giving funds to some of our sponsored children in QuangNam.

Above left is Pham Thi My Dong along with some of the girls of Ruth’s House. Dong is a recent graduate with a degree in English and works full time for us.

Above left is Huynh Thi Hong Buu. Buu is an experienced worker who comes to us after 6 yrs. with an NGO in HCMC. To her right is Dong and from the SCP office, Hao and Hien.

Chau says,” I was born in a poor family. It is important for me to believe in Jesus because I find the meaning of my life. When I work for L.O.V.E., I have a chance to serve the poor. I would like us to pray for each other. May God be with you”.

Dong says,” I am so happy to have grown up in a Christian family and thanks to God as today; He gives me opportunity to become a worker of L.O.V.E. I would like send my kindest regard to you all. God bless you!”

Buu says,” I am blessed to be a daughter of a Christian family. Thanks to God so much. I wish to share God’s love to whomever I meet. May God bless and be with you at Christmas.”

Right now there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc. We have so many like the one below.

About me: My parents are dead, I lived with my grandfather and took care of him. Every day I would get up early, clean house and cook for my grandfather, then I would walk to school (about one hour). After school I walked home, cleaned and cooked dinner. After dinner I would study. Mr. Reggie of LOVE has made it possible for me to go to school and in 2004 they bought me a bike to ride to school. This saved me a lot of time.

In 2005 my grandfather died and I had to live with my aunt and uncle. My aunt is nice, but my uncle has mental problems.

If I had a sponsor Mr. Reggie tells me I would have enough to take enrichment courses to help me go to college plus extra for meal to eat and medical care.   I hope you can help me.

We have many other children who need sponsors.

To look at other children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking:

child

Without your help many of these will not finish school. For just $20 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, please check the information by clicking on  children or contact Reggie

The children here in Vietnam need your prayers and your help!

PLEASE HELP A CHILD THIS MONTH

(2 Cor 9:9-11 NKJV)  As it is written: "He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever." Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.
