Knowing God

(Jer 22:16 NKJV) He judged the cause of the poor and needy; Then it was well. Was not this knowing Me?"

says the LORD.

These were words spoken to Jehoiakim, but may well apply to us today (Jer 22:18 NKJV)

Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the son of Josiah, king of Judah:….

If we truly know God and serve Him, does our life really reflect it? Religion or relationship….What do we have?

Huynh Thi Thu Thuy gets a new bike for her birthday. This was a real need as she has to travel a long way to school. The bike was given with a special additional gift from her sponsor.

Huynh Thi Bong gets a new pair of jeans and a jacket for her birthday from her sponsor. She is in great need of clothes. Is she happy... you better believe it!

30 farming families in Que Son and Binh Lanh lost crops and some lost their roof or entire homes in the typhoon. Above, LOVE brings food out of an emergency fund provided by their sponsors.

This was the kitchen and bath area of Do Thi Mai’s home. The living area behind Mai, her mother, and sister, has no roof. Their father died many years ago.

The front part of Doan Thi Tram Oanh’s home is missing the front wall, door, and roof. The kitchen and bath area in the back is damaged badly. Above you can see where they have used the battered pieces of their roof and made a temporary roof.

Background: Truong’s father is a veteran of the Vietnamese war. He is blind and lost a leg around 1970. He receives $6 a month as a disabled war veteran. Truong’s desire is to become a doctor. LOVE has been helping this family for 4 years but we cannot do enough. Now with one entering college the need is greater than ever. The father, almost in tears, asked us to do more.
