But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Promises for you who care about the poor.

(Prov 21:13 NKJV) Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor Will also cry himself and not be heard.

(Prov 28:27 NKJV) He who gives to the poor will not lack, But he who hides his eyes will have many curses.

From the New Testament

(2 Cor 9:9-11 NKJV) As it is written: "He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever." {10} Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, {11} while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.

Above is one of the 37 families of a house church in Quang Nam that received a scholarship of $32 a year because we do not have the funds to do more.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all of our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc. We have so many like the one above right.

Background: Thien has blood cancer. Two other children I know died of blood cancer last year. Two years ago she was very sick and had chemotherapy. She lost all her hair. She should be dead now. I was introduced to Thien 2 years ago and she was very sick. I prayed for her then and continue to pray for her and share about Jesus’ love, salvation and power to heal. Now her cancer is in remission, she feels better and goes to school regularly. Her marks are very good now that she is not absent so much. Her family was not very poor. The parents earn $40 and an older sister $60 a month, but the treatments each month is more than her family makes, so they are deeply in debt.

We have many other
children who need sponsors.
