URGENT NEED | ||||||||
University Students We now have 5 student homes, totaling 40 students. We need sponsors for our 5 student houses. We have just had to turn down a request from some of our students for money to go on a mission trip to Vinh University.
We are in serious need of churches, church groups, or individuals to sponsor a student house. This will free up LOVE funds for our other programs: scholarships, nutrition, etc.
It is among these university students that we are focusing our training and evangelism. In the past we have only asked $50 to support a house, but now is the time to require more of these students (most are very eager & desire to serve the Lord). We are investing in an extensive training program that is centered on 150 lessons in Bible, theology, and other core courses for training the students to fulfill the 5-fold ministry and Christian Education. These are in English w/Vietnamese Translation. They are on VCD or DVD with workbooks. These students make several evangelistic trips to other universities; attend summer work/learning camps, etc. Because of all this, we are increasing the cost to sponsor a student house to $75. This will allow us to start a reserve fund to help the students with all these activities and for emergencies: repairing computers, furniture, and other needs.
At present, we have 5 houses: Abraham’s student house for boys…………………………8 boys Esther’s student house for girls………………….…….……6 girls Hannah’s student house for girls………………….….……..8 girls Rachael’s student house for girls………………….…..……6 girls Ruth’s student house for girls………………….……...……8 girls
Two of these houses may need to split as they expect 12 to 14 students this term beginning in Sept. We also have been asked by another group of girls to sponsor their house called Sarah’s House. At present LOVE is carrying these houses without direct help. The 150 lessons of the International School of Ministry (ISOM) to produce a set for each house will cost around $1000 (we have already spent over $300 and have only produced 5 sets of the first 50 VCD’s). Now we have the opportunity to expand to 8 houses with over 60 students.
The rent on the houses very from $35 - $50 a month, which we expect to increase this fall. Utilities cost another $6 - $10. The remainder of the money will go into a reserve fund to be used for training and evangelist materials, outreach, training, evangelistic trips, emergencies, and medical needs.

In all, LOVE provides uniforms to 200 children. **************** Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.
We have many children who need sponsors. To see our children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help many of these will not finish school. For just $20 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter.

Her family is very poor. She has an older sister, 15, who in deaf and mute and a brother 8years old. | ||||||

Money that is not designated as for a sponsored child or special need goes to the following: | ||||||||
150 monthly scholarships 90 semi-annual scholarships | 15-20 kg of rice to 45families 5 annual scholarships | Funds for medical and emergencies Special needs, Christmas, Tet, etc | ||||||
The total annual cost for the above is over $24,000. Student houses, training, evangelism and other unofficial activities adds another $10,000. So a hardy thank you to those of you who send in the regular and sometimes irregular funds that we need so much. Without you there would be no training and outreach. | ||||||||
