But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

A New Challenge

This challenger will donate $1 for every $2 donated to LOVE to provide scholarships of 150.000 vnd each month. That means your donation of $10 becomes $15 or $100 will become $150.

This challenge is for the month of July only. We are hoping to raise enough to provide 100 scholarships beginning in September for the next year and also have enough for school uniforms, text books and health insurance, which will amount to nearly $120 per child per year. That means raising $8,000 + $4,000 from our challenger. Remember, the money must be donated in July.

This is the first time in 10 years we have cut our scholarships and also the first time we have not provided uniforms. We have not had enough funds to provide text books to these children for 3 years now.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

About me: There are 6 members in my family, now we are very difficult. My father has had lung cancer for more than 1 ½ year. My mother has to stay at home to take care of him. We have only the oldest brother goes to work, however he has difficulty in walking as he has foot injury. I and my brother, Loi go to school but it is very hard for us to pay for school fee. The other older brother has left home after recovering from a nearly dead motorbike accident. My father has many operations (3 small operation and 3 main operations) from hospitals to hospitals. I wish I would receive support from supporters so that I can continue my study. I wish I would be a teacher when I graduate to bring my knowledge to the poor children. I hope I will receive support from you. The father used to be a fisherman, but now he has lung cancer. Once the weather changes, he is in much pain. Other people in the family have to endure day and night with him too. Sometimes, the father wants to pass away as he cannot endure its pain and to ease the burden for the family. The oldest brother is the main laboror but he has a foot injury. Thank God, they still keep their faith in the Lord through whatever happens. The oldest brother himself is one of the leaders of the teenagers at Hoi An’s church. May the Lord be with him, this family, and raise a supporter to help them.

Summer Camp

Every summer we try to help hundreds of poor children to be able to attend a 3-day camp.

The SCP usually holds 1-2 camps for over 500 street children and children from very poor families.

We would like to raise $1,000 to help these and other children to attend camp this summer.

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
