But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Announcements

As founder, president, and original director of LOVE, I have retired as director. Chi, my wife, is now director and coordinator of LOVE in Vietnam. I will remain as president and advisor to Chi. I also plan to go out in the field occasionally.

Please pray for Chi as she fulfills God’s vision for LOVE. Pray for me, Reggie, as I hope to spend more time with my 2 young children and maybe find time to work on a book I started years ago.

After 6 months, we have moved back into our house. All tiles are laid, interior painted except for 2 bathrooms, but lights in 2 rooms are not installed and none of the fans are up. We are happy to be here.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $25 a month or the whole family for $40 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

READY FOR A NEW SCHOOL YEAR?

Coming after the textbook distribution is a month for uniforms as one of LOVE’s goals is to support children as much as we can until they finish their education. Our children are those in very poor and needy families. Many would have to buy old used uniforms or borrow money to get a new one and the same with text books, many would have to go to school with no text books. LOVE provides all our children with a new set of textbooks and other supplies at the beginning of a new school year. Annually in the summer, LOVE provides the children with new uniforms, textbooks, book bags, school insurance. This year is no exception. In July, all the sponsored children under all donors were handed their uniform materials – including a pair of blue pants and a white shirt for elementary and secondary students and “ao dai” for high school girls. In addition, we gave them money for the tailor. About 300 uniforms have been delivered in total so far.

Hope and pray for them all for a successful new school year with good achievement!

We also plan to increase the amount they get each month making it easier for them to take the extra classes they need for good achievement.

or a bicycle from many kind-hearted donors.

The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
