Helping the poor and needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV): By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Life back to normal for Lanh

Lanh was burned from his head to his shoulders by gasoline when he went to see the dragon dancing in Mid-Autumn last year. When we visited him, his neck had joined the chin. It began to cause his spine to be curved and it caused him many difficulties in daily life. Thanks to his German sponsor and G4Kids, he had the first successful surgery to separate the neck and the chin. Now he has improved and has gone back to school normally. In August, he will have a second operation to replace the burned skin around his neck. The help he is receiving from his sponsor and other German donors will help him return to the normal life like before. On behalf of him and his family, we would like to send our sincere thanks.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

PLEASE HELP

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

Tran Huynh Anh Duy, a sponsored student, said good bye to the children at the school where he did his practice teaching. Duy is one of many success stories and as a teacher next year will continue to give back many times over the money invested in him.

Students assemble to hear Anh Duy’s departing words and then sing a song.

Extra Blessings for these children

About me: I am the youngest child in a poor family. My father died years ago and left my mother with 5 children. All my brother and sisters are still in school. My mother’s job is a manual job and she has no stable job. Sometimes she can’t find any job for long time. All the expenses and burden in my family are put in my mother’s shoulders. I like to go to school and I hope you will help me. Thank you!

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV)  But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, {14} and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

(Luke 19:8-9 NIV)  But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount." {9} Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham".

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
