Tet (Lunar New Year) Tet 2016 is February 7 - 10. This is a national Holiday in Vietnam with all government, schools, many businesses, and LOVE closed from February 8 to 12. This is similar to what westerners do during Christmas Holidays in that many travel to their relatives, share meals together and exchange gifts, especially gifts to children. A traditional gift is “Lucky Money” where money is put in a red envelope and given to the children when visiting many families and friends. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Humanitarian Mission to elderly in Hoa Vang district of Danang city 100 Christmas gifts including blankets, instant noodles, cooking oil, cookies, woolen caps, scarves and socks were given to the elderly and poor and needy households in two wards – Hoa Bac and Hoa Lien of Hoa Vang District. This humanitarian mission was carried out on December 22, three days before the Christmas Day.
