MY FAMILY:

I was born and raised in a mountainous ethnic minority area. I live with my parents and two siblings. My parents are farmers with poor health, and their income is very low and unstable, especially during the rainy and flood seasons in our hometown. My brother was a second-year student, but he had to quit school and work because we could not afford tuition for all three siblings. However, his job is unstable and his income is barely enough to support himself. My tuition is now a heavy burden on my family. I truly do not want my education to end like my brother’s.

MY STUDY:

I am in my first year of university, majoring in English because I dream of becoming an English teacher. However, my studies may be interrupted due to my family’s financial difficulties. I try my best every day and sincerely hope for your support so I can continue my education and pursue my dream. Thank you for your kindness.
