MY FAMILY: My family lives in a remote mountain village, and we belong to an ethnic minority. My father has severe kidney problems; despite this, he always tries his best, together with my mother, to take care of and support us, but our family’s finances are still very limited. Our income is unstable and only just enough to cover daily needs, so our family often faces financial difficulties. Despite these challenges, my siblings and I always try our best to study hard. We are all at school. Now that I have to study far from home, I also work part-time to help my mother with living expenses.
MY STUDY: I am a first-year college student this year. I really enjoy studying and learning new things. My dream is to become a skilled nurse in the future so that I can help and care for the people around me.
