MY FAMILY:

My family belongs to an ethnic minority and lives in a remote mountainous village. My parents are getting older and no longer have the strength to continue heavy farm work while supporting my education. As a pastor, my father also devotes time to serving the church despite his declining health and frequent food allergies. In addition, my parents’ income depends greatly on the weather, yet our area is very dry and lacks irrigation water, making our livelihood unstable. I constantly worry about having to leave school because of financial hardship because I know that my family cannot afford my education or the expenses of studying far from home.

MY STUDY:
I am currently a first-year student majoring in Korean Studies. Growing up in a poor farming village, I have always been passionate about pursuing higher education and using the knowledge and skills I gain to build a better future for my family. Despite many financial difficulties, I continue to work hard in my studies while taking part-time jobs to help cover living expenses. I sincerely hope for your support so that I can continue my education and move closer to my dreams. Thank you very much for your kindness and consideration.
