Her parents are farmers, and her older brother has a disability that prevents him from attending school or working. She and her two siblings are all school-aged and doing very well in school. She is eager to learn and dreams of becoming a doctor. However, her parents’ limited farming income makes it difficult to cover school fees for three children and daily living expenses. A HOPE scholarship would ease her family’s financial burden and help her stay in school to pursue her dream.
