MY FAMILY: My father left us when I was very young. Now, my mother, my brother, and I live with my grandparents. My mother works at a small grocery store near our homewith low income. She has to take care of everything, from our daily expenses and education to supporting my grandparents. My grandfather is suffering from cancer, which makes his life extremely difficult and painful. The financial burden on my mother is overwhelming, and she cannot manage all the family expenses on her own. MY STUDY: I am currently a ninth-grade student and an active, enthusiastic learner at school. Because of my family’s difficult circumstances, I am unable to attend extra classes. My older brother is now in 12th grade, and there is a strong possibility that he will have to give up his dream of further education to work and help support our family.
